How is NRR calculated?
Net run rate is the rate a team scores at across the whole tournament, minus the rate it concedes.
NRR = (runs scored ÷ overs faced) − (runs conceded ÷ overs bowled)
If a team is bowled out, its full quota of overs is used, not the overs it actually batted. Being dismissed for 40 in 20 of your 50 overs counts as 40 from 50 — so collapsing quickly does not flatter your rate.
Chasing quickly does help: a side that wins with overs to spare is charged only the overs it used.
Abandoned matches are left out entirely, and wickets never affect it.
